banner ads
Banner ads have come under fire a lot lately as being an outdated fad of internet marketing, which is totally unture. Gawker Media CEO Nick Denton recently declared that banner advertisements are dead, in that they don’t generate the advertisement revenue for his websites as they once had in the past, meaning people just don’t click on banner ads as much as they used to. If done correctly it can still be a very powerful means of driving targeted traffic. Using well designed ads can generate interest in products and services, as ultimately getting click conversions its all a numbers game.

The more clicks the more sales, period!

The saying, “less is more” definitely applies to text on banner ads. To make your ads as effective as possible, use larger fonts and fewer words. Text that’s too small will bury your ad within the website and other ads. Text that is boring or misleading will do the same, but in a different way. Make sure to also use call to action words and keep consistent with your brand’s voice.
